Inverters are used in battery-electric or fuel cell vehicles. The semiconductors used in them generate electromagnetic interference through their switching processes when converting energy from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) and vice versa. 
With the CarXield™ TDK Corporation now presents the first standard EMC filter platform for automotive applications and thus a cost-effective, efficient solution to EMC problems. The CarXield is available in several variants and can be used at voltages of 500 V DC or 900 V DC with currents up to 400 A @85 °C. 
Thanks to its fully validated design, filters with or without busbar are always available. Further customization for your exact application can be made and developed on the fly.
