The following two designs meet the system requirements; the one with 6 xEVCaps is optimized for low inductance and high performance, and the other with 4 of them for smaller size. This modular approach gives inverter designers another degree of freedom.
- 300 kW with 300 A, harmonics from 8 kHz to 110 kHz
- 200 kW with 200 A, harmonics from 20 kHz to 160 kHz
- Cooling at +70 °C, ambient at +85 °C, and terminals at +105 °C
The following table provides a direct comparison of these two proposed solutions.
CR [μF] | VR,DC [V] | IC,RMS (max.) @ 10 kHz [A] | LS @ 1 MHz [nH] | ESR @ 10 kHz [mΩ] | Dimension L x W x H [mm] | Number of units (Ctotal, IRMS) |

75 | 850 | 56 | 14 | 0.57 | 97.5 35.0 42.5 | x6 (450 µF, 336 A) lower inductance, higher IC,RMS |
