The PTC ICL tools support users to identify a suitable PTC ICL for applications with only 1 charging / discharging action within 5 min and for applications with several charging / discharging actions within 5 min.
In case of applications with only 1 charging / discharging action within 5 min users must use the below tools in the following order:
- PTC ICL Selection Tool: Here user will get as output suitable PTC part numbers for his application
- Charging / Discharging simulation Tool: Here user will be able to check, if the selected PTC part number limits the maximum current to a non-critical level and if it fulfills the charging / discharging time requirements of the DC Link capacitor
In case of applications with several charging / discharging actions within 5 min users must use the below tools in the following order:
- PTC ICL Selection Tool: Here user will get as output suitable PTC part numbers for his application
- Repeated cycles simulation Tool: Here user will get as an output, how many parts of the selected PTC ICL are needed to avoid unwanted switching of the PTC ICL to a high ohmic state
- Charging / Discharging simulation Tool: Here the user will be able to check if the selected PTC part number limits the maximum current to a non-critical level and if it fulfills the charging / discharging time requirements of the DC Link capacitor
The tools can be used as an online version in all common browsers.
The tools contain the PTC ICL portfolio offered in the year 2022.
