CarXield ‒ Automotive Filter

 Graph 3 - CarXield

Inverters are used in battery-electric or fuel cell vehicles. The semiconductors used in them generate electromagnetic interference through their switching processes when converting energy from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) and vice versa.
With the CarXield TDK Corporation now presents the first standard EMC filter platform for automotive applications and thus a cost-effective, efficient solution to EMC problems. The CarXield is available in several variants and can be used at voltages of 500 V DC or 900 V DC with currents up to 400 A @85 °C.
Thanks to its fully validated design, filters with or without busbar are always available. Further customization for your exact application can be made and developed on the fly.

Capacitor Life And Rating Application (CLARA)

 Graph 4 - CLARA

CLARA is an intuitive search-oriented simulation tool for TDK and EPCOS film capacitors. It helps designers to find the most suitable product for their application conditions in just a few clicks. Within the design tool specifications of different products and the performance of the products under customer-specific application conditions can be simulated easily. Additionally, CLARA allows to include personal notes during a search and it is directly linked to the TDK Product Center for sample requests or product inquiries.

Compact coupled inductors with high saturation current

 Graph 7 - Coupled Inductors

The fields of application of dual inductors are diverse. They can be used as coupled inductors in various non-isolated DC/DC converter topologies or as transformers in flyback converters. A further application involves the use as common-mode inductors in power supply lines. TDK´s dual inductor series offer coupling factors up to 99%. The compact robust designs feature functional isolation voltages between the two windings up to 500 V.
