TDK Corporation introduces the xEVCap, a standardized and modular DC link capacitor design for powertrain inverters in passenger cars, commercial and off-highway vehicles, and machinery tools. Typically, such capacitor designs are fully customized, making the development time-consuming and practical only in large production volumes. 

TDK Corporation announces the EPCOS B32377G, a new series of three-phase AC filter capacitors in delta connection filled with nonflammable nitrogen gas instead of the soft polyurethane resin used in the existing series. 

TDK has introduced a bio-circular polypropylene film for its ModCap^® series of DC-link capacitors. TDK Corporation presents ModCap^TM HF, a modular capacitor concept for DC link applications that is able to work at very high switching frequencies. The six newly developed power capacitors of the B25647A* series are available for rated voltages from 900 V to 1600 V and cover a capacitance spectrum from 640 µF to 1850 µF.

TDK Corporation presents the B3271*H* series, new EPCOS film capacitors for DC link applications that feature high energy and power density. The capacitors are rated for voltages from 500 V DC to 1600 V DC, offer capacitance values from 0.47 µF to 170 µF and are suitable for a maximum operating temperature of up to 105 °C.

TDK Corporation has added the B32354S* series to its portfolio of metalized EPCOS polypropylene (MKP) capacitors for filter applications. The new devices, which feature a 4-pin design and a pitch of 52.5 mm, are rated for V_RMS of 275 V AC or 350 V AC and cover a capacitance range from 10 μF to 40 μF. The maximum operating temperature is 85 °C.

TDK Corporation presents a new series of EPCOS power capacitors for DC link applications. The new capacitors are available for rated voltages of 600 V DC to 2000 V DC and cover a capacitance range of 20 µF to 270 µF. The current handling capacity can be up to 60 A at 55 °C with the ability to tolerate current peaks of up to 7.5 kA.

High-performance IGBT modules switch currents in the kA range, whereby unwanted and in some cases harmful voltage overshoots can occur due to DC link leakage inductances. To counteract this, TDK offers extremely low-inductance special- snubber and DC link capacitors.

TDK Corporation presents ModCap™ − a modular capacitor concept for DC link applications. The newly developed power capacitors are available for rated voltages of 1100 V to 2300 V and cover a 365 µF to 2525 µF capacitance range.
