TDK Electronics in Hongqi

Located in the beautiful coastal city of Zhuhai, the Hongqi factory is one of the most important magnetic components production sites of TDK Electronics and the entire TDK Group. 2021 a new plant has been opened, covering an area of 97,000 square meters and employing more than 5,000 people. In total, the plant produces more than 700 million components a year. The largest share goes to the automotive industry, followed by industrial electronics as well as information and communications technologies. Nearly two thirds of the products manufactured in Hongqi are exported, mainly to customers in Europe and the NAFTA region.

Hongqi Profile

The Hongqi site belongs to the TDK Magnetics Business Group, headquartered both in Japan and Germany. The plant is dedicated to the production of magnetic components such as transformers, wire wound inductors, signal EMC filters and Power EMC filters. It holds a number of authoritative certifications, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and the AEO certificate.
