The law entitled Administrative Measures for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (China RoHS II) has been in force in China since July 1, 2016. It applies to electrical and electronic products that are imported to or manufactured in China.
Point 7, Other hazardous substances prescribed by the state, has been added to the existing list of substances. However, substances to be declared, prohibited substances and their respective thresholds remain unchanged from the previous version (China RoHS I) and correspond to the thresholds defined for these substances in the EU’s Regulation 2011/65/EU (RoHS II), Annex II:
All electrical and electronic products within the scope of China RoHS II must be labeled with one of the logos described below. The legal basis is Chinese standard SJ/T 11364-2014.
