Within the division dedicated to sensing technologies of TDK, a leading global electronics company, we are committed to placing our employees at the center of the company’s challenges.

To support our growth and engage new business opportunities with existing and new customers, we are looking for a Field Application Engineer for our high-performance MEMS inertial sensors product lines.

Within the New Product Introduction (NPI) team, you will be the first technical point of contact with customers for our MEMS accelerometers and gyros products.

Field Application Engineer (FAE)

What you can expect

  • Pre-sales support
    • Assist the sales team in building technical proposals
    • Participate to product promotion activities in close collaboration with the sales and marketing team
    • Design and operate demonstration and evaluation boards
  • Post-sales support
    • Support customers during the integration of Tronics’ products in their system
    • Develop and execute customer-specific test and measurements
    • Manage customer claims and product returns, in compliance with our quality system (RMA, 8D)
  • Other
    • Create and maintain product documentation (datasheets, application notes, FAQ)
    • Suggest new features to product development teams based on customer feedbacks
    • Participate in new product qualification
    • Maintain the customer support dashboard on a regular basis and drive support actions

What you bring to the table

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in electronics or equivalent.

Required Experience and Skills

You have a first experience working on a similar position (full time or apprenticeship) where you were able to demonstrate your ability to understand and analyze customer issues in a complex high-tech environment. You ideally have some technical background in sensors technology. Skills in electronics, firmware and software programming (C++, Python) will be highly appreciated.

Your analytical and interpersonal communication skills, natural curiosity, and ability to proactively drive technical discussions will help you maintaining trustworthy relationships with customers and building the most appropriate technical solutions.

An advanced level in English language (spoken and written) is required to support our worldwide customers, as well as an ability to take part in international business trips.

You will be part of a team where trust, respect and solidarity are in the spotlight, with a high level of autonomy in your missions.
