Award as best innovation of the year

The CLT32 power inductors from TDK have received the prestigious “Electrons d'Or” award from the French trade journal “Electroniques”. The award has been presented for 25 years to European companies for outstanding innovations in the field of electronics, this year for the first time in collaboration with Acsiel, a French professional association of the electronics industry. The jury is made up of representatives from the media, the automotive industry and the French Ministry of Industry. Among the many nominees in the Passive & Electromechanical Components category, the CLT32 series stood out for its exceptional features. 

The compact and highly robust CLT32 inductors are predestined for safety-relevant automotive applications and are used for power management in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and AD (Autonomous Driving) systems. The CLT32 power inductors from TDK combine reliability, miniaturization and superior electrical parameters. A special feature of the series is its potential for space and cost savings on PCBs without compromising on high current capability. These properties are crucial for the growing demands of modern vehicle electronics.

A special feature of these AEC-Q200 qualified components is their innovative design. It consists of a solid copper coil that is overmolded with a ferromagnetic plastic compound. The coil ends are the terminals.

Another factor for being awarded was the environmentally conscious product design. The inductors consist of more than 40 percent recycled raw materials and have a long service life.
