Varistor production expanded

Breaking the ground to expand the Zhuhai plant in China: An extra 2600 m² is being added to front-end varistor production. Production in the new building is scheduled to begin at the end of this year. Over the next two years, the number of varistors produced here should increase by more than 10 percent to over two billion units.

The new production hall is being erected between two existing buildings. More than 85 percent of the new production building will be devoted to production lines. There will also be a common room area for employees. The new building is to be completed with no interruptions to production.

In addition to the ceramic protection devices, film capacitors and temperature sensors are being produced in Zhuhai. Ceramic protection devices such as varistors generate the most revenue. All in all, Zhuhai has about 60,000 m² of production space and employs roughly 3500 people.
