3,500 trees for a green and healthy environment

Almost 100 employees at the Batam site in Indonesia spent three days planting 3,500 trees in forests and coastal areas. Site Manager Suriawati Shen and residents from surrounding communities also took part in the initiative. The site is thus continuing its program, which aims to plant thousands of forest trees and mangroves in sensitive areas every year.

This year, employees from ware house department traveled to the Duriangkang Reservoir. There, they planted 1,000 trees. And employee from Systems department also planted 2,000 mangroves in the coastal area of the Tembesi Reservoir.

The colleagues launched a new initiative to plant mangroves on the island of Setokok, south of Batam. There, they planted another 500 mangroves.
