EVs need high-energy-density solutions to deal with space and weight constraints. Find out about TDK’s key contributions to various reference designs. Come and find out about traction inverters using our modular xEVCap as a DC-link capacitor, as well as the Tiny Power Box 2 from Silicon Austria Labs, a bidirectional 11-kW onboard charger featuring our CeraLink capacitors.

The power in thermal management

 01_aln

Check out our new smart AlN multilayer substrates demo for a close-up look at this advanced thermal management tech. AlN (aluminum nitride) is great at conducting heat, which is better than other ceramic substrate materials, and its coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) is very similar to that of modern power semiconductor materials, like silicon and silicon carbide (SiC).

The power in accuracy

 e-motor

In our e-motor demo, featuring a state-of-the art drivetrain, we showcase our temperature and pressure sensors, motor controllers, and position sensors. The newly released TMR magnetic sensor series TAS delivers zero-latency, high-bandwidth analog sensing within a tiny footprint, serving as a superior and cost-effective alternative to inductive and resolver solutions. A new current sensor features minimal temperature drift and virtually zero non-linearity up to 500 mT in robust xEV traction inverter applications.
