TDK opens Sales Office in Romania

• Sales office located in the center of Timişoara, in western Romania

• Additional presence strengthens TDK automotive business in Eastern Europe

TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) announces the opening of its sales office in Romania. It is located in the center of Timişoara, in the western part of the country, close to the borders with Hungary and Serbia. Six employees will initially support local customers, primarily from the automotive sector.

In recent years, major automotive customers have established not only manufacturing operations in Eastern European countries, but also R&D and procurement activities. Customers will now be provided with direct, comprehensive on-site support for passive components and sensors. “The new location underscores our commitment to the automotive business in Europe and will further enhance our strong position in the region,” says Josef Vissing, President of TDK Europe.

Andrei Buhaceanu, one of the two new Heads of the sales office, adds: “Our new sales office in Timişoara brings us much closer to our customers, who have recently expanded their presence in Eastern Europe. This move will create new business opportunities for TDK.”

With this new office, TDK now operates 18 sales offices across Europe.
