TDK Europe GmbH: Ludger Trockel new President of TDK Europe
TDK Corporation announces that effective April 1, 2017, Ludger Trockel (53) has been named President of TDK Europe GmbH, the company's European sales organization. He thus succeeds Rudolf Strasser (64), who has retired on March 31, 2017.
TDK Europe’s management team also includes Andreas Keller (47) and Josef Vissing (53). Keller, Senior Executive Vice President, will serve as the TDK Europe Managing Director alongside Trockel. Vissing, Executive Vice President, will serve as Deputy Head of Sales.
The three are in full agreement: “TDK Europe’s already established set-up enables us to offer the best support for our European customers with a unique product portfolio centered on TDK’s three key markets, Automotive, Industrial & Energy and Communications. We aim to continue to grow the business together with our customers and support the growth strategies of TDK Corporation, among others, by promoting our expanded product range for sensors.”
Ludger Trockel has held a number of sales positions at TDK since he joined the company in 1990 with a Diplom degree in electrical engineering. Since then, Trockel has acquired many years of business experience, among others as Head of Sales Nordic for the then TDK Electronics Europe with a focus on the telecommunication business beginning in 1996. In 2006 he was named TDK Electronics Europe’s Vice President Automotive and in this capacity has been responsible for the company's business with OEM and Tier 1 customers. In 2014 he went to Tokyo, where he served as Deputy General Manager of Automotive Group of TDK Corporation's Electronic Components Sales & Marketing Group, a position he continues to hold.
Broad portfolio of products from a single source with an extensive sales network
TDK Europe was established in February 2015. The sales activities span both the entire spectrum of passive TDK and EPCOS components, modules and systems and all the company's business with TDK magnets, wireless charging components and other TDK components and systems.
TDK Europe is headquartered in Munich, employs 390 people and operates an extensive sales network with 17 sales offices in Europe 1. The company’s sales activities in Germany are conducted not only from Munich, but also from offices in Düsseldorf, Erlangen and Leonberg near Stuttgart.
