TDK Corporation presents two new varistor series in SMD design. The types of both series are available for a wide range of operating voltages from 175 V_RMS to 460 V_RMS, corresponding to 225 V_DC to 615 V_DC.

TDK Corporation presents the EPCOS B72307S0* (StandarD S07 Compact Series) and B72310S0* (StandarD S10 Compact Series) series of extremely compact, leaded disk varistors. The new varistors cover a wide voltage range from 115 V_RMS to 460 V_RMS in the StandarD S07 Compact series and from 130 V_RMS to 680 V_RMS in the StandarD S10 Compact series.

TDK Corporation presents the new EPCOS B72314S2* series (AdvanceD S14 Compact) of leaded disk varistors. The series covers a wide operating voltage ranging from 175 V_RMS to 625 V_RMS. The maximum surge current capability of a single pulse current (8/20 µs) is up to 6000 A.

TDK Corporation presents two new series of ThermoFuse^® varistors, which are equipped with monitor outputs and integrated thermal protective components for overvoltage protection. The MT25 series (B72225M*) currently covers a voltage range from 150 V_RMS to 385 V_RMS, and its maximum surge current capability is 20 kA at a pulse form of 8/20 µs , according to IEC 61643-11.

TDK Corporation presents the EPCOS Compact S14 AdvanceD-MP series of metal oxide disk varistors that feature smaller dimensions with the same excellent performance as comparable S14 AdvanceD-MP types. 

TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) has extended its EPCOS ThermoFuse™ family of fuse protected varistors with the new compact NT14 and NT20 series. The new ThermoFuse components feature a footprint that fits into existing circuit board layouts.

TDK Corporation presents leaded EPCOS metal oxide disk varistors, which have now been approved for an increased operating temperature of 105 °C (previously 85 °C). The reason for this is the recertification of the B722* series of varistors in accordance with UL 1449, 4th Edition, and IEC 61051. 

TDK Corporation has extended its range of EPCOS PTC-based inrush current limiters. The four new versions of the B5921*J0130A020 series with plastic housing are designed for voltages from 280 V AC to 560 V AC. The B594* and B597* series of leaded disk components offer rated voltages of between 260 V AC and 560 V AC. 

TDK Corporation presents the new T series of EPCOS ThermoFuse™ varistors for intrinsically safe overvoltage protection. These components are based on disk varistors with diameters of 14 mm (T14 series) and 20 mm (T20 series) that are connected in series with a thermally coupled fuse.

Reliable protection against overvoltage is essential. Using a new ceramic material, TDK has developed a high-surge series of multilayer varistors that combine compact dimensions with excellent protection properties.
